We are now hiring for an Engineering Manager for our Core Network squad. 

Our Core Network squad plays a crucial role in building and optimizing a reliable, secure, and scalable cellular network, empowering IoT businesses worldwide. We’re here to redefine how connected devices communicate.

The Core Network squad is a cross-functional group of engineers with unique and different backgrounds in software engineering, telco systems, embedded engineering and product management. Together, we are crafting the best cellular network in the world, built for the modern IoT landscape. 

Our work directly impacts millions of devices globally, ensuring seamless, low-latency and highly available connectivity for mission-critical applications. Our services enable secure authentication, signaling and messaging for devices using Onomondo SIM cards, across 680+ networks in 180+ countries. 

What You'll Be Doing:

• You will be leading a team of 4 Engineers. 

• You will be responsible for delivering certain initiatives, such as improvements to the core network. You will communicate about progress, blockers, etc. 

• You will work with a tech stack that consists of Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS, Grafana, Node.JS, Go, NATS, and Postgres, ensuring the scalability and resilience of our core network.

• You will drive the Engineers to make the technical decisions and have clear goals.

• Raising the bar for Operational Excellence of the Infrastructure - High availability, Uptime, Response Rate to Incidents, Costs etc. 
  

What You Bring: 

• Experience leading engineering teams in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly, foster collaboration, and create a positive, inclusive team environment.

• Background in network engineering, telecom or IoT infrastructure (or a strong interest in the space).

• Background in high-volume, cloud-based systems, with a strong understanding of performance, reliability and resilience best practices.

• You have experience partnering with Product partners, fostering a culture where engineering and product collaborate seamlessly to deliver impactful solutions.

• Proven ability to drive operational excellence through strong execution, incident management and continuous improvement in engineering practices.

• Skilled at translating complex technical concepts, aligning stakeholders and fostering transparency within the team.

• A leadership style that balances hands-on involvement, technical acumen, coaching and data-driven decisions.
